Prior to joining PetSmart Charities in 2017, Stephanie spent most of her career in the Sports and Entertainment Industry including nine years working for the Arizona Coyotes (NHL) and Gila River Arena as well as three years for the Arizona Sports Foundation (College Football).
She enjoys connecting and making an impact on communities through various opportunities, whether through volunteer work or sitting on the Board of a local nonprofit. Stephanie and her husband, Wade, have two German Shepherds, Lilly and Ruger.

Why is the human-animal bond important?
The human-animal bond can improve overall health and well-being for both pets and people. For humans, the unconditional love we receive from pet helps us feel less isolated or alone and provide non-judgmental support. There is so much pets give to us, and in return their ask is fairly simple, they just want to be loved. They want to know they are safe. Once you’ve established that bond with them, they will be there for you no matter what.
How has your pet changed your life?
My two pups, Lilly and Ruger, have brought so much joy and happiness to our family. My husband and I were lucky enough to find them through a local rescue group here in Phoenix. We had just lost our 16-year-old dog a few months earlier, and while we felt it was too soon to get another dog, Lilly and Ruger came into our life at just the right time.
What makes you most proud of working at PetSmart Charities?
I love being part of an organization that has the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Although we all come from different paths in life, we all work very hard for the common goal of helping pets and the families who love them.
