Marigold

My story

Marigold is a four-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier with the cutest smooshy face and a personality that’s already winning hearts at Big Hearts for Big Breeds. This sweet girl is currently on a medical hold while she is navigating the stress and heartbreak of transition in addition to battling severe allergies and inflammation. Her legs are swollen and uncomfortable, and we’re working closely to figure out what’s causing these painful outbreaks so we can get her feeling better and living the comfortable life she deserves. Marigold came from a home with other dogs, though she has not yet been introduced to dogs within rescue as she settles in and focuses on healing. Her compatibility with cats and children is currently unknown, but the rescue team is continuing to learn more about her each day. Right now, the priority is helping Marigold feel comfortable and healthy again. Through the support of the Big Hearts for Big Breeds veterinary team and partners, she is receiving the care she needs to address her allergies and start feeling her best. Even while dealing with discomfort, Marigold’s sweet nature shines through. We’re excited to continue watching her blossom as she heals, decompresses, and prepares for the brighter future she deserves.
