Maverick

My story

Maverick is a happy, gentle young dog with a sweet heart. He was found as a stray hanging around a motel, where people weren’t always kind to him. Despite his rough beginning, he is slowly learning that people can be safe and that being part of a family can be pretty great. Maverick gets along well with other dogs and would do best with a canine friend to play with and help build his confidence. He is submissive and gentle, crate trained, knows how to use a doggie door, and loves having his crate as a safe place. Maverick takes a little time to warm up, so he won’t be the dog immediately asking a stranger for attention. Once he trusts you, though, he loves to snuggle, follow you from room to room, and be your little shadow. Give Maverick the time to choose you, and you’ll have a sweet and loyal best friend.
