Purpose of category:
Adoption Prep grants are designed to support PetSmart Charities Adoption Partners’ efforts to help homeless animals find homes via PetSmart Charities Adoption Centers.
To be eligible to apply, Adoption Partners must have completed 100 adoptions in a PetSmart store in the U.S. (or 50 in Canada) over the last 18 months and in compliance with all PetSmart Charities policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Preference will be given to Adoption Partners who have completed at least 250 adoptions (in the U.S. /100 adoptions in Canada) over the last 18 months in a PetSmart store.
The maximum grant given in the U.S. in this category will be $75,000 and $40,000 in Canada. Grant requests may not exceed 50% of the organization’s overall adoption program budget. PetSmart Charities Adoption Prep grants will not support the purchase of vehicles.
Funding may support:
- Vaccinations
- Spay/Neuter
- Staffing
- Volunteer support
- Containment and supplies
Who can apply:
- Approved and active Adoption Partners who have completed 100 adoptions in a PetSmart store in the U.S. (or 50 in Canada) over the last 18 months in a PetSmart store.
