My story

For safety reasons you should never go for a hike, walk or run in the red rocks alone, especially when I’m here prepared to tag along with you! I am 7-month-old Barney, a mixed breed brindle pup eager to start my life outside the shelter.I have a beautiful, kind face and big dark eyes. I am playful, smart, joyful, friendly, and healthy and I have already mastered ‘sit’. I can learn more tricks with a good coach teaching me. I’d love to learn to ‘roll over’ so that you can more easily give me lots of belly rubs. Now that would be awesome! At this point in my young life, I am ‘all legs’, as they seem to be growing faster than the rest of me. Sometimes they get in my way, and I look funny chasing bouncing balls and toys. But boy, I live to run and play especially my favorite sport of fetch.For some sad and unknown reason no one came to claim me when I was recently brought to the Sedona shelter as stray. I was really scared and shy my first few days here, but everyone has been so patient around here that my wonderful personality is starting to shine! I haven’t had much experience with other dogs and am unsure of how to act around them.I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.I need sturdy kids and/or adults who will enjoy outdoor activities with me. Let’s check each other out and play some fetch at the park so we can kick off our love affair!
