My story

Adoption Information:  Our dog and cat adoptions are held every Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm at our building, located at 6357 Quinn Dr in Baton Rouge, LA, near the Old Jefferson and Tiger Bend intersection.   For further questions please email us at  caawsmail@yahoo.com  or ask the adoption counselors at adoptions!.     Breed:   DSH Brown Tabby w/ white Estimated DOB:   8/22/13 Gender:  Female, spayed FeLV/FIV Status:  Negative Shots:  up to date Notes:   diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy & heart murmur, needs daily medicine   Hi, I’m Mary Anne.  If I do say so myself I am quite beautiful, aren’t I?  I’m a sweet and calm girl who is looking for a home special enough to take care of my special needs.  Besides being beautiful and deserving nothing but the best I also have a few medical needs as well.  I have a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which causes thickening of my heart walls.  This affects my blood pressure and heart rate so I will need daily medicine. Because of this, I would do best in a calm environment with someone willing to administer my meds faithfully as well as bring me for regular vet checks (about twice per year).  Please don’t worry though, I am living a normal, happy life despite all of this!  I am still very young and with proper care I have many years left!
