He can also be stubborn. He&#39s like a teenage boy in the body of a GSD. ð&#194&#159&#194&#152&#194&#129Gunner is just about the most well trained dog in our rescue. He&#39s been working on his obedience game for over a year and knows all of the tricks. He has a relationship with certain volunteers in which he understands they are the leaders and he is the follower. Once you achieve that relationship with him, he&#39s just about the most fun canine companion in the world! But, and here&#39s the but, you don&#39t have that relationship with him yet. As smart as he is, he&#39s not a well oiled machine who is the same dog with different people. He is going to be a dream dog for someone who likes to work their dogs, but he is going to be a handful for someone who doesn&#39t. Around 6-7 years of age, Gunner is your typical working dog with lots of energy who is smart as a whip, loves to run and play, and adores his people. He craves work, loves a job, and would probably enjoy agility. He&#39s adorable, loving, affectionate, playful, and needs a home with GSD/working dog experience or he will take the lead position and become overly protective. If you&#39re looking for a smart puppy who would love to be part of an active home, Gunner is your boy!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.May 7, 2025, 4:30 pm
