My story

Hello! My name is Cocoa, and I'm a sweet, timid tortie/ Seal Point Siamese/ DSH mix gal who was born about February 2017. I was a stray for 3 months before my rescuer won my confidence and brought me into his home. I was skeptical at first, but his patience has paid off, and I now adore him. He carries me around the house, plays with me, and has a warm, comfy lap for me to snuggle in when he's sitting in his lounge chair. (I still haven't warmed up yet to his wife.) He tried to socialize me with his four senior cats, but it was slow going because I was afraid of them. Things really changed, however, when he rescued Kit Kat, a 2-week-old orphan black kitten who had to be bottle fed. Kit Kat kicked in my motherly instincts, and I helped raise him and certainly helped groom him like his mom would have. We've become best buddies, play together, and sleep together. We love to chase each other through a 3-way tube tunnel. We scramble around together on the cat trees, and when we're exhausted, we take a cat nap in one of the cubbies. Kit Kat has certainly helped me blossom by bringing out my playfulness and subduing my timidity! Although we're available separately, Kit Kat and I think it would be the cat's meow if we were adopted together. We could keep each other company while you're at work, school, or on vacation. As much as I like it here in my foster home, I know it's best for me to have a home of my very own that I don't have to share with four senior resident cats. I hope you'll arrange to meet me so you can gaze into my big Liz Taylor baby-blue eyes. I promise that I will mesmerize you! Cocoa is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. She will be microchipped after her adoption is finalized. No de-clawing permitted.
