My story

UPDATE: Sugar is as sweet as her name. She is a 4 year old female chihuahua who weighs around 7lbs. She is very loving and wants to be near her people at all times. She will cry or bark when her people are gone so she will not be a good fit for an apartment. She loves to snuggle in a blanket and curl up close. She is house trained with frequent reminders and will also go on a pad. She gets along with other small dogs in her foster home but can be possessive of her human. She walks great on a leash . She was treated for heartworms, but she has completed her treatment and is good to go!! She is spayed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccines. She will make a great companion. She does not like being crated and will do best with older children. She loves to play with small toys. Hi! My name is Sugar. I was born in the Spring of 2016 approximately and am almost 6 lbs. I was brought to CRT from Texas and I was treated for heartworms. My super soft, thick coat is amazingly beautiful and unique – white with brindle patches. I LOVE to chew my pink bone and also like to tear up paper and cardboard to play with. I’m here with a few other Chihuahuas and a cat and we get along the majority of the time. Sometimes I get a little snippy or growly at the other dogs if I don’t want to be bothered. I am very fast and love running around. If you adopt me, you’ll need to put up tall baby gates to keep me where you want because I can jump right over the standard size ones as well as jump out of pens. One of the funny things I do is jump right up on your thigh when you are sitting down!
