My story

Make sure you let us know you saw Yukon on Adopt-a-pet. Meet Yukon, this handsome 4 year old boy will require a very special home. Why you ask, well for one he has become a staff favorite and two he has a genetic eye condition that requires drops to his Left eye twice daily for life. Yukon recently had an enucleation of his right eye due to severe buphthalmos which is secondary to glaucoma, this surgery went well and his is on his way to a full recovery. Yukon has a gentle sweet personality and has done well with everyone he has met. We have not introduced many dogs to him but he has done well with the few he has met. Yukon is too interested in cats and has chased a kitty in his holiday foster home. On his daily walks he does seem interested in other dogs with a tail wag and whining....he's the best walker. A great home for Yukon would be daily walks, lots of love, a big yard to follow his owner around in, no small children, and a responsible owner to keep up with his eye care.
