My story

🐶 🐕 BEACON Male 8 months & AVAILABLE – See more photos of BEACON here -- http://norcalbcrescue.org/beacon_2019.html 🐕 🐶 BEACON (AKA Mr. Big & B-Man) is a 50-pound, 8-month-old puppy. He is sweet & fun-loving. He loves toys, chews, & herding his border collie foster sister. He knows a few tricks: sit, down, come (well, most of the time), hand touch, & watch. He especially loves interactive toys. Beacon is a smart & very busy boy who needs things to do that will make him think, as much as he needs exercise. Because he is so smart, he is a fast learner. Beacon is treat-motivated first, & toy-motivated second. He has learned to tug & to retrieve. Beacon is progressing with leash-walking & is learning to sit when his foster mom stops at a corner; he is also learning to watch his foster mom when he is leash-walking. Beacon sometimes tries to jump up in excitement, but he responds quickly to the "sit" command. Beacon gets along with the female border collie is his foster home. He is rowdy in his play with her. After all, he is an adolescent border collie puppy. He would love to be someone’s one-&-only, or he might like to live with another dog. Beacon's ideal home would be one with border collie experience. He is a gorgeous, happy-go-lucky boy, who might enjoy agility training, or training in some other dog sport. (Early hip x-rays look good). Beacon is crate-trained & housebroken, going into his crate easily for a cookie. BEACON is micro-chipped, Neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about BEACON, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. Beacon is fostering north of Sacramento.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt BEACON, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
