My story

Hi there! My name is Baxter. I am an adorable little boy who was born April 21, 2019. My littermates Anisha, Ignatz and Ishani and I are ready to start looking for lifelong, loving homes of our own. I am a sweet kitten who enjoys affection and companionship. I also like to play. I enjoy cat toys of all kinds and wrestling with my brother and sisters. Adoption event dates at PetPeople Bloomfield Hills for 2019: June 22, July 27, August 24, September 28, October 26 and November 23. NO event in December. Saturday, July 6: Adoption event at Petco, 29335 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills (just south of 13 Mile Rd). From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 1st Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Saturday, July 13: Adoption event at Magoo's Pet Outlet, 3050 Union Lake Rd, in Commerce Township, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 2nd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2019: July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9 and December 14. Saturday, July 20: Adoption event at PetPeople, 3038 Walton Blvd., Rochester Hills. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 3rd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates at PetPeople Rochester Hills for 2019: July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16 and December 21. NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label. Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
