My story
Chico was an owner surrender to a small overcrowded rural shelter in TX. His owner simply didn't want him anymore. Through no fault of his own, Chico was on his way to becoming another euthanized dog statistic. But the kind shelter folks recognized his potential and contacted our Rescue to see if Chico could come to CO. Chico is friendly but timid, given a little time, he warms up quickly and is a lap dog in no time. Chico gets along with other dogs and would make a great addition to any family. He loves treats and toys. He will stash toys if given the chance. Chico desperately wants a human to bond with and to be shown the love he deserves. Chico appears to be a Dachshund mixed with a little JRT or Beagle?
