My story

Welcome Leggo! This six-month-old puppy was dumped like trash at a dead-end road in Holden. A wonderful family took him in but was unable to afford his medical bills and he is now in our care. He had Polymelia, or in other words, an extra limb. He had a partially developed front limb with a blunt end, resulting in a sarcoma around the bone which was constantly rupturing. He had another partially developed extra limb behind his “stump” that essentially picks up where the other leg ends. Leggo recently had surgery to remove both his stump and his twisted leg. Leggo also has an adorable stumpy tail!! Since his amputation he has been much better coordinated and enjoying life! He can run and play without any fear of or pain. Leggo is such a happy puppy who loves toys, other dogs, and cuddling with his people. He came to us as clearly never having been inside a home before and in less than a month has already been potty-trained! Apply to adopt this stud muffin below or send us questions! He has an adoption fee to cover full vetting: neuter, vaccinations, fecal and deworming, heartworm prevention (he’s negative), flea prevention, microchip, diagnostic testing, radiographs, and a clean vet check.
