My story

DOB Sept 22nd, 2018 Hi I'm Guedo! If you're looking for an ultimate love bug then look no further! I may not like other pets but don't hold that against me, I will give you ALL of the love of them plus more! Let me be your everything...pretty please? I'm quite a talker, very curious, inquisitive, smart, and love to jump to high places - my cat mom Shadow is half Bengal, and those are all Bengal traits. I guess you could say that I take after her. My previous owner would like us to be adopted together but we aren't bonded. When I was brought to my foster mom's home it was quite a shock for me, I was scared cuz I had only known one home in my entire life! I didn't understand my new surroundings and where my owner was and who this other nice lady was. As it turns out the nice lady was what is called a foster mom. I have a case claustrophobia. If a room is too small (a 2 piece bathroom for example with the door closed) for my liking I will get scared and knock everything over trying to get out, I will tell you all about my harrowing adventure back to you. I love to knead anything i can get my paws on: the pants that you are wearing, a soft blanket, the couch - in fact my foster mom had a hard clipping my claws because I was kneading so fast and expressively! Don't worry, if you can get past me "playing the air harp" as my foster mom calls it (kneading) I don't mind my claws being clipped at all; it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I have quite a purr motor too, so if you mind me kneading something, guaranteed that I will be purring too! My former owner wanted the best life for me. And that unfortunately didn't include her. She had very big dogs, the dogs and I had a mutual hatred for each other - the dogs liked to chase me every chance they could get. My former owner was concerned that her dogs would eat me! It took me about a week for me to calm down, and adapt to my new foster home. I was scared, but being a cat I don't show fear really well, my fear came out as growling and swiping my paws at anyone that came near me. My foster mom calls that the fight or flight response to fear, I chose to fight due to fear cuz I just didn't understand what was going on. Guedo needs to be the only cat in the household. Having any other pets in the home will result in huge noisy altercations multiple times a day. Especially with cats, if he knows that he can bully other cats he *will* take advantage of it. Guedo hasn't been tested with kids of any age. As his foster mom, I believe he'd perceive small children as a target for his bullying tactics. But also, I believe he'd do well with older children as he is endearingly needy - it can become quite annoying at times if he's constantly wanting your attention! I would like Guedo to go to an adoptive family that has Bengal cat experience, or at the very least an experienced previous cat home. Bengals are loud (not an average meow) and they can get into everything - its like having a furry toddler!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Guedo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
