My story

***Adoption pending*** Meet the adorable Bixby!  Bixby is a 4-year-old, Schnauzer/Poodle mix that found himself in a western Kansas shelter.  This boy acts like he definitely had a family at one point in time and adapted quickly to his foster home!  He has been great with the large and small dogs and loves to play with the younger dogs.  Bixby has done great in every setting he’s been in, does great on a leash, in a car, and is potty trained.  He does not do well in a kennel but does fine if left out.  He has not been around kids at all in his foster home but his foster mom doesn’t think they would be an issue.  He will require a fenced in yard.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and kept on monthly preventatives.  You can apply to adopt via our website at www.handsofhoperescue.com or email for an application if you cannot fill one out online.
