My story

hw positivePlease meet our gentle bear, Sammi. Sammi came to us when his owner went to prison. Sammi was used as a breeding dog to "supplement his income" with the Aussie puppies.  Sammi is 10 years old and until CARS he has never lived inside. Boy has he adapted to the good life quickly! And who would blame him! He loves to cuddle and forgets he is 70 pounds. He loves other dogs and all people. Sammi is extremely gentle and doesn't like chaos (yelling, fighting etc.) he just wants peace and love. And cuddles. Sammi is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is also Micro-chipped. Sammi also takes monthly preventatives. After living outside for almost a decade and not being taken care of we have some heartbreaking news ; Sammi is Heartworm positive and he can not be treated for he has a heart condition separate from the heartworm disease. He is currently on a "slow-kill" method, which is taking a heartgard every month. Sammi has already gone through his treatment of Doxy. This lovebug has so much love to give. We know there are beautiful humans out there who will consider taking in Sammi and loving him to his end. He so deserves this after the life he has had. We do not want an adoption fee. We only want a wonderful family/person who will love him to the end. He is fully house trained, low key, average energy, easy going , great recall and wants to please. Sammi is being fostered in Saint Louis, Missouri. Thank you!
