My story

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! Large, liquid brown, waif like eyes Check Blond and brown, silky hair swept rakishly to one side Check Bambi like eyelashes Check I guess all of the supporting evidence is in for validation of my name! My namesake is one of the most iconic Brazilian models of all time!! Just like the original Gisele, I can't take a bad photo!! Foster Mum says that no matter the angle or lighting, I am one photogenic little duchess! Besides being a somewhat of a show stopper, I am also very humble..and can come across as a little quiet upon first meeting you. Just a brief introduction and a couple of scritches on my chinny, and we will become fast friends. And, I love snuggling...my favorite thing is to curl up under Foster mum's chinny and lay very quietly...Awwww..so nice to be loved!! For a quiet evening in, my choice is to snug down on the couch in front of the fire watching Turner Classics! (Ok, you can be in charge of the remote; it doesn't Always have to be a Turner Classic :) My hairytage is awesome; I am a wire haired Dachshund mix (I guess Foster Mum should have named me Heidi Klum!! :) Foster Mum describes me as a "love bug"; silly Foster Mum, I am a puppy type animul, not a bug!!! Sheeesh,,,hoomans and their weird expressions! I have a soft, low shedding white coat sprinkled with adorable rust colored spots and freckles. I currently weigh 8 lbs at 4 months young, so will likely be around 15-20 pounds of gorgeous when fully growed. My disposition is sweet, sweet, sweet and I am a quiet little dawg. No yapping about over nothing for me!! I get along great with the other dogs and cats at my foster family's farm. With my smallish size and soft, pettable coat, I might be considered a "lap dog" by some. However, I also enjoy going on a 1 mile long walk about the farm on a daily basis. I really enjoy all of the sights and sounds and adventure of the farm animals......but I am very polite and respectfully never disturb or bother them. If you are looking for snuggability (yes, I just made that word up!) and life long devotion, I am the "picture perfect" duchess for you!!
