My story

DOB Nov 8th, 2013 Frankie is very shy and for this reason a quiet household is necessary with few visitors. He currently lives with other cats and dogs but he is constantly bullied by the cats and he doesn’t stand up for himself. If someone so much as crosses his path he will retreat to hiding. This includes eating. He is not aggressive at all but needs to be the shining star in his home. For this reason no children or frequent children visitors or he will spend his whole life hiding :( Once Frankie trusts his people he will happily cuddle beside you or on your lap. He will let you pick him but you can instantly see the fear in his eyes as he patiently waits to be put down or he begins to squirm. He will let you trim his nails if you sit on the floor while you hold him. He has the most adorable meow and will let you know he is happy to see you or he is hungry 😊 He was rescued from a feral colony and not is not feral at all.! He had been attacked and had several wounds. He requires at least 50% or his meals as canned as he had many teeth removed. He will graze on kibble it he is hungry but it is not ideal as his only source Frankie is a VERY special boy probably due to his past. As such he will require someone who is patient and understanding. Frankie is an ABSOLUTE angel and wouldn’t hurt a fly but he will be very shy initially. Once he gains confidence he will find his special person or few people. He will come out for treats and canned food and cuddles. You will know how grateful he is for a safe warm home. He will win your heart for sure. Frankie has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. He does not require medication. He can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (ie. deep bite marks). Please do not judge him based on a blood test!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Frankie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
