My story

Sergio 5947 Labrador Retriever Mix Rogers, AR Young Male Large About Meet Sergio 5947 The photographer was in the Humane Society office when a caring human, who had found Sergio wandering along a busy highway, walked through the entrance closely followed by this bewildered canine. On both sides, the conversation was the same....this friendly dog is well-cared for, is in great shape, is wearing a comfortable harness, has had training and is amazingly well-mannered, even in the extremes of what he had just experienced. We shortly discovered that 1 1/2 year-old Sergio would perform an instant sit on request, was very comfortable with all the canines and all the volunteers that quickly befriended him on his first day at the Humane Society. Sadly, no one came in to reclaim this gentle-natured, water-loving, easy-going, house-trained canine. During his photo session, he showed his remarkable focus and his non-stop desire to please his human. Sergio entertained all the bark park participants with his pursuit and capture of squeaky entities and his ability, when requested, to come dashing to you all the way from across the park. At the end of the photo shoot, Sergio showed his understanding of the canine/human bonding as he came over and leaned up on the fence next to the photographer and checked out the bio....standing first on the left side and then, to get a better look, switched to the right side and then gazed up with a satisfied smile....he had concluded that it was a great write-up, especially when viewed from both sides of the fence.
