My story

Meet Dinks! This guy is 9 years old but sure doesn't act like it! His ideal home would be someone with no kids & no other animals. He has not shown any aggression with us but unfortunately he was surrendered to a kill shelter for nipping (abrasion/warning) a child. The owner reached out to me & told me her kids were allowed to crawl on him & around him & he never had any issues. He also grew up with 2 cattle dogs & only started chasing & starting crap with them recently. He was never walked. He is fat. & had a pretty severe ear infection. These dogs typically need A LOT of exercise & don't do well with small children. So in my opinion this family was LUCKY it took 9 years to have an incident. Well, now we are looking for the perfect home where this gentleman can spend his golden years. He will need someone that can walk him daily (when the weather permits) at bare minimum. Play ball with him. & let him be their shadow. He still has some pounds to lose & thrives with exercise and routine. He is not a fan of the crate but is fine in one. He is also perfectly potty trained & nondestructive though if left to roam. His fee is $120. We've completed a full blood panel on him to ensure he is healthy outside of being chunky. He is neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. Let us know if you're interested!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dinks, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
