Flower is four pounds of OMG. Flower has come from a bad predicament. She is only eight weeks old and came from a puppy mill with her nine brothers and sisters. Her parents are in chicken coops in a Amish mill never to see the light of day. Ten puppies in any litter of either Yorkies or Havenese is a HUGE litter. Some of her siblings had hernia's and she had a under developed eye. It must have gotten a infection and had to be removed unfortunately and financially that was a huge expense. She has only been away from her siblings since May 7th and she is missing a playmate terribly. She is now with a foster who has a male adult large dog and she's in heaven having a playmate so this is the ticket for her. This is what she needs. A male dog larger than her or close to her age. She plays rough and goes for broke in her play. Flower is already four pounds at 8 weeks and will not be a teacup. She is a Havenese mix, a Yorkenese, and will most likely be a Havenese size of at least ten to fifteen pounds. UPDATE: We have had many calls so I want to add a check list of requirements since it seems that many people are not reading her requirements and calling on her. UPDATE 2: May 23rd. We found that the best thing for her is to have a male puppy in the home, that is the combo that is working the best and what we are looking for. Older male dogs are rarely excited by her and want to be away from her. REQUIREMENTS: 1, HAVING AN YOUNG ACCEPTING MALE DOG IN THE HOME. 2. IS A NON SMOKING HOME 3. HAVING A PET PARENT YOUNG ENOUGH TO TAKE ON A DOG THAT CAN LIVE 18 YEARS. WE DO ONLY AGE APPROPRIATE ADOPTIONS THAT MEANS FOR A PUPPY NO ONE OLDER THAN 62 AND NO ONE YOUNGER THAN 25. 4, HAVING A PET PARENT WHO IS NOT WORKING A JOB OUTSIDE THE HOUSE WITHOUT HAVING SOMEONE HOME WITH HER OR CAN TAKE HER IN TO WORK WITH THEM WHERE SHE CAN'T GET INTO TROUBLE OR BE LIFTED BY THE PUBLIC 5. HAVING A FENCED YARD AND A YARD THAT IS NOT EVER TREATED WITH WEED SPRAY OR USING A LAWN SERVICE THAT IS A FERTILIZER COMPANY LIKE TRU GREEN OR OTHERS LIKE THEM. IF YOU LIVE IN A CONDO SITUATION THEY DO SPRAY, WE'VE CHECKED DOZENS OF THEM. 6. HAVING A PET PARENT WHO HAS THE ENERGY TO DEAL WITH HER TERRIER ENERGY AND WALK HER DAILY EVEN IF THEY HAVE A YARD. 7. CAN AFFORD TO DO ALL HER VETTING WHICH SHE NEEDS MOST OF STILL AND TO KEEP HER ON A PREMIUM BRAND FOOD THROUGHOUT HER LIFE AND CAN TAKE HER FOR GROOMING EVERY SIX WEEKS. SHE WILL NOT BE A CHEAP DOG TO AFFORD AND SOMEONE ON A VERY FIXED INCOME WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD HER NEEDS. 8. AND LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, NO HOMES WITH KIDS. ADULT HOUSEHOLD ONLY. I know these parameters seem stiff for some folks but it is up to us to make sure she gets an appropriate home for her needs, she's had a tough start and we want to make sure she gets a great life going forward. This isn't a judgement on people who don't fit her needs, it's a judgement on filling her needs. We do adopt to older people when we have a dog that fits the home they can provide. Flower is not a dog for a older person, I'd say people in their sixties and older or people with disabilities are not going to fair well with her so we are looking for younger active adopter for her with a young male dog. Flower she has specific needs herself that need filling. She has months ahead of her that require the majority of her shots and at six months to be spayed and we don't know what else might come up, she's very healthy at the moment. We know she has worn out some of our fosters who are in late twenties to mid thirties and so we know for someone sixty or older she is going to be a energy drain. She will need to be adopted to a pet parent who has the energy she does, these yorkies minded mixes don't slow down until they are seniors at ages 15 or later. She is feisty and none for the ware after losing the eye. She was racing around 90 minutes after her eye came out. She is so young she barely has teeth in but she loves to bite at noses and those tiny teeth are killer on the nostrils. She is not potty trained totally but she's doing well with going out side and needs to continue to be trained by going outside. Not on potty pads. Not trained to go on a potty pad inside only. That isn't workable and she is a dog who needs to go out to do business. That isn't emotional healthy for her to learn only potty pads. FLOWER is a small four pounds but she doesn't know she's small. She thinks she's large and in charge. She will expect to train her person to do things to her liking so we are looking for a experienced pet parent. She will be a handful for awhile. A long while. These breeds can live a long, long time so she needs a pet parent who can be young enough to have her for the length of her life. She requires a lot of grooming every six weeks and will be only on premium food. She will need a every other year dental cleaning and that can run approx. $500 each time. She is not ok around little kids and once grown she shouldn't be around them either. She needs a non smoking home with a pet person who is always either home or can have her baby sat any time they are not home or can take her along with them, maybe have a job she will be allowed to go to with them. If your lifestyle or your needs match her requirements please call or text me directly at 517 294 4514 or email me at marlas2468@yahoo.com and make sure you leave a phone number if you expect me to contact you back.
