My story

Little Liberty and her sister, Paisley, were rescued by a couple of street-feeder friends who saw them wandering on the road in a really bad part of town. They couldn't leave them behind so they scooped them up and asked for rescue help for them. We gladly stepped up for these puppies who needed help. They are about 4 months old and were covered with demodectic (non-contagious) mange. Liberty was by far the most affected of the two, as she was nearly hairless when she was found. Her hair is just starting to grow back and we expect she will look the way she is meant to look - BEAUTIFUL - in no time! They appear to be little Staffordshire/Lab mixes. They are so sweet and quiet. Paisley is a wiggle butt and is happy to say hi to everyone. Liberty is more subdued and shy, but just as sweet. We are continuing to work on their skin. They have been fully vaccinated and microchipped and will be spayed in a couple of weeks. These poor puppies have not had a great life so far, but we are determined to make sure they have bright futures. Liberty's adoption fee is $650 (that includes GROUND transport from Houston, TX to the Hartford, CT area). Transport is scheduled upon finalization of adoption paperwork. Liberty is currently in her foster home in Sheridan, TX and will remain there until adopted.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Liberty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
