My story

TobyKeith is an adorable, sweet little fellow. He is a 7.8-pound Chorkie (Yorkie/Chihuahua mix). He is only 8 months old. Toby is being fostered in Leesburg, FL. Due to Covid-19, all Florida foster dogs must be adopted by Florida residents at this time. No exceptions will be made. UPDATED BIO 5/29/20 Hi Everyone, it is me TobyKeith. I am called just Toby by all my friends, and I have a lot of friends. The truth is everyone I meet is my friend. I love every person and dog I meet. Now here is my best news ever today my nice vet told me my knee was healed. I could run and play and I dont have to be on the leash in the backyard anymore. I didnt waste a minute doing just that. I couldnt stop running around and playing with my good friend Scotty for a long time. My vet also told my foster mom that my other knee is better too. It was not popping out much at all and for most of the time it is staying right where it needs to be. What a great day with good news and lots of time to run and play with my friend. My foster mommy said I am ready to go to my forever home. Here are some things that are important to know about me. I hate it when I am left alone and I make a lot of noise. I whine and I bark and it is loud. I know it is not a good thing to do and I am trying to do better, but so far I havent improved much. I cant go live in an apartment or condo because I know the people near us will get really mad at me and my new family. I need a stand-alone house so neighbors cant hear me if I get too loud. That means I especially need a forever family with someone who will be home with me a lot of the time. I will give you so much love and so many kisses, you wont even ever want to leave me. Here is something else I really need too. I really want a young, small doggie friend to play with. I love to run and play and it is way more fun to have a friend who loves to run and play too. I would also love to have a fenced yard to do all that running around in with my friend. I am not so great on a leash. Thats because I like to get going to where we are going fast. I use the potty pad in the house and do my business outside. My foster mom and dad said for a puppy I am pretty good about all this, and pretty close to being house trained. I think that is a good thing. I am good in the car too. I dont bark or whine. I just stay safely attached and watch what is going on all around me. I am hoping to find the prefer forever family for me. You might think my knee is not healed since I dont use my fixed leg all the time, but thats okay. My vet said that it usually takes a 3 or 4 months to do that, but I always use it when I run, and you know I love to run. I am using it more and more when I walk. You know I am only 8 months old so I really want and need a family for the whole rest of my life for 15 or even more years if you take good care of me. I dont ever want to have to be with a new family again. It has happened to me four times already. I need a forever home to really be my forever home for my whole life. I wouldnt mind having a home with well-behaved kids over the age of 11 if they would play with me and understand that I am still pretty little so they cant be too rough. If you want a sweet puppy, who doesnt like to be left alone and you could maybe give me an energetic young friend and maybe even a fenced yard, please send my mommy an adoption application for me TobyKeith, the almost perfect puppy.
