PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RESPOND. CRICKET and his siblings (NUGGET - PENELOPEA - NOODLES - SIMON - BANDET) were saved from an overpopulated location in Compton, California. Nice trapper lady that found all these kittens reached out to us and asked if we could save them. CRICKET is a very sweet boy. He is shy at first but he will warm up. He loves to be held and carried around. Being in your arms makes him very happy and comfortable. And he likes to be wherever you are. He's got a lot of love to give. Laser pointers and feathers on a stick are his favorite toy. He absolutely loves crunchy treats. He is a very curious cat, so if you are doing something he will investigate. CRICKET was adopted out three times now. The first time he was returned because apparently he wasn't getting along with the resident cat. The second time he was dumped at the shelter and apparently it was because he was spraying everywhere. He has done neither of these things at our rescue. The third time he was returned because the co-owner's mom passed away and he had to move. He truly did try to do what waa best for him but he had to think of the pets he had from his mother and knew CRICKET would do better with us. He was very welcomed back into our cat room with the resident cats. So for this fourth time that he gets adopted, we're being extremely picky with his adoption. As you can see, we don't think any of the circumstances were HIS FAULT. If you don't have the patience, ability to take him to a behaviorist or the finances to help him if he ends up doing any one of these things he was accused of...please don't apply for him. We are not trying to be mean or rude we want HIS happily ever after. CRICKET is a Maine Coon mix. He is 15 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around children. In his previous home, he was around dogs and we were told he loved his canine friends. CRICKET is currently located at PETSMART In Palm Desert, Ca off Monterey Avenue. JUNE 2021: With all the needed social distancing...we are still doing adoptions. We can do meet and greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at any PETSMART. But steps 1. thru 4. of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done first. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to do meet and greets...not PETSMART employees. Gas donations always appreciated! Email us directly: WorkinWhiskers2020@hotmail.com ************* PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please do not email us asking if the cat is still available. Please email us requesting an application...if you're interested in adopting or scheduling a meet and greet. Please note that we are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient. We are an all VOLUNTEER rescue, meaning we are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescues. So we do not do DISCOUNTS. CRICKET is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $250 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots Rabies FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal dewormer Stronghold flea control Microchip If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask! Have a GREAT DAY!!!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt CRICKET, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
