My story

At 9 years old, Kane knows the value of a comfy bed, a good walk, and the steady companionship of someone who loves him. He’s a mature, well-mannered dog who`s still got plenty of pep in his step and love to give! Kane is looking for a calm, committed family who understands his preferences and will give him the respect and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy with life experience and a big heart, Kane might be the perfect fit. Kane adores people and thinks everyone is his friend.Kane does best as the only dog, he just wants to be the king of the castle!Kane was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Kane is a wonderful sweet heart who does very well walking on the leash. We took a little walk until Kane got tired and then we sat in the grass and had the best cuddles.` He was able to go on another day out, `Kane is such a delight and a very chill boy. He might be older but had lots of energy at the park. He was so calm in the car and at a brewery. Plus the way he lays down is just so stinking cute. Kane is going to make a great addition to any family.`On another Dog Day Out here is what they had to say, `Kane is an easygoing gentleman through and through. He was incredibly well-mannered—he didn’t bark once, even when other dogs were making a scene. “Gentleman Kane” took every new adventure in stride, staying relaxed and friendly wherever we went. He was the perfect patio companion at a few local restaurants, a calm and happy co-pilot in the front seat of the truck, and an enthusiastic explorer when it came to finding park fountains. Kane has a happy-go-lucky personality and was never demanding—just content to be part of the fun. It was a joy showing him around Kansas City!`And another, `We took Kane out for a Dog Day Afternoon, and let us tell you—rainy days and Mondays don’t get this handsome, mellow, almost 10-year-old down. Even though he’d never met us before, he hopped right into the car and right into our hearts. Kane was an absolute dream on leash, even in the rain, and walked so nicely by our side. Treats? He loves them and takes them ever so gently. No barking, no begging—just a calm, grateful old soul who appreciated every moment of his outing. We stopped for a burger, and you should’ve seen the look on his face—pure joy. This sweet guy is full of quiet gratitude for even the smallest kindness.
