My story

Who’s looking for a pair of floofy tuxedos? You are? Great – here we are! I’m Chara and this is my BFF, Chance! We’re both so excited to meet you, we each want to tell you all about ourselves. I’m Chara and I’m about 10 yrs old. Senior you say? Age is just a number, I say! I love to play like a kitten still and I love to tear it up with Chance. I’m not quite as rambunctious as him, but after all, I am a lady. Look at all of my FABULOUS floof. Can you brush me, please? I love being brushed. Can you rub my belly, please? Belly rubs and pets take me to my happy place. I purr … and purr … and purr… I am most definitely a lap cat. I don’t care that foster mom is working, when I want to be on her lap, I want to be on her lap, and nothing is going to stop me from getting up there. My floofy toes are declawed, but I still like to scratch the post. It’s what all the other cats are doing and I don’t want to be left out. I am a bit, how shall we say, pleasantly plump, but it’s all good. Is it chub, is it fur? I’ll never tell. It doesn’t stop me from loving my temptation treats! I burn off calories running for my temptations! Chance and I both get along fine with other cats. We have a few cat friends in our foster home and we’re all chill together. My turn! If you didn’t get it by now, I’m Chance. I’m about the same age as Chara. Senior schmenior, I say. I am so affectionate and social. I’m the official greeter of the house. I am definitely NOT shy! Foster mom says I’m more like a dog – I come when I’m called. I play like a youngster! What are my favourite toys? The list is long, but let’s see…the laser pointer, balls, stringy things. Anything I can chase or swat! Foster mom says I’m a “buddy” not a “baby”. I sit beside her on the couch, but not on her. Hey, just respecting the clothes – I don’t want to get hair on her pants. But the bed is fair game. I flop right down on her in bed. Chara does too, so I hope you have a big bed! Do you like head butts? Good to know because I give ‘em. And I give ‘em good! Legs, arms, hands, head – if it’s within range, it’s getting bonked. I must also admit that I have an addiction. To Churu treats! Oh man, those things are the BEST! I’m not sure why Chara is declawed and I’m not. We were both surrendered from the same house, so maybe she came to the house that way? So there you have it. This is us. Chara & Chance.
