Bern

My story

12 Week old Bern is one of four kittens from his happy little family, each of them is well-adjusted and outrageously friendly, perfectly mannered and just all around fun to have around! Growing up they have had many sleepovers in a variety of our foster homes, and each time they come to stay for a day or two all of the kitties are quick to open right up to their human friends, both old and new! Bern and his family are ready and raring to find their forever homes, and they have so many stories to share. Bern’s family was born outdoors in the countryside during the summer’s sweltering heat, and they were discovered only after their mama had tragically disappeared, which ended with her four kittens being without care or food for three days... At only a few weeks old, it was a miracle that any of Bern’s family survived, but thankfully they have done nothing but thrive since becoming tiny members of Furry Friends! Bern is bright-spirited and full of wonder for the world around him - He is convinced that beyond every corner is something waiting to be played with, and behind every door there’s definitely some magical world just waiting to be explored...He will confidently follow his foster mama right out the door when she opens it, no hesitation at all! Whether Bern is so adventurous purely because he has a thirst for fun, or because he wants to make sure that you’re not getting into trouble as a self-proclaimed mama’s boy, it doesn’t change the fact that this handsome little guy is ready to stick to you like glue no matter where you go. If you open the bathroom door he will trot in with his head held high to scope the place out for you, if you crack open the basement door he will make his way down with no hesitation to check for monsters, and so it goes without saying that whoever takes this monkey home will need to take some extra care that he doesn’t follow you right out the front door! Bern will eventually learn that his services are appreciated, but that his humans can come and go without his assistance. :) It goes without saying that Bern is as personable and friendly as they come, he just loves to snuggle up with his humans, and he’s always happy to relax next to you when it’s time to wind down! Bern is also incredibly playful, and shares his sibling’s interest in poking his nose into the kitchen sink. Bern is quite the proud little hunter, and whether that’s because he spent his early days on farmland is anybody’s guess, but at just 6 weeks old he caught a mouse in his foster home and REFUSED to let go, the little sneak! Nowadays Bern tries to stick to less adventurous prey like toy mice and foam balls, but you’ll still catch Bern prancing around the house with his treasure held tightly between his teeth! Bern gets along great with all of his siblings, but he has a special place in his heart for his sister Sparkles. They always snuggle up together at nap time and are just best friends.
