My story

Hi everyone, I’m Charlie! I’m one year old, but told I act like a teenage boy since I have lots of energy during the day and like to sleep for a solid 12 hours. I have learned so many things in my foster home! Like figuring out what’s allowed inside and what I only do outside, like potty! I am getting better and better at remembering to ask to go outside when I need to. My crate is great and I even go in all by myself. I sleep in it all night without barking, crying or having an accident. I’m a PRO at riding in the car and enjoy going on adventures! I am learning to walk on a leash and doing such a great job. Sometimes I get distracted and excited, but then we play this game where I show off how I can “sit” or “watch” to get my favorite treats, hotdogs and cheese!  It’s so fun. I love people so much that I get really excited when I meet them! The more kisses I can give, the better. I’m just so happy and want to show it, but don’t always realize my 50 lb size. I have a foster fur sister that I love to play with! Sometimes she has to tell me when it's time to settle down, but I will listen. It would be great to have a fur sibling my own size that can keep up with me! I am very good at sharing toys and treats. Do I sound like the perfect addition to your family? IMPORTANT: Many homeowner's insurance companies have breed blacklists or "dangerous dogs" lists which include, but are not limited to, pit bulls, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Akitas, American Bulldogs, Chows and wolf-hybrids and WILL NOT insure you if they reside in your home or may cancel your insurance if you add a dog of these breeds to your home. If you rent, landlords may also have these same breed restrictions due to their insurance policies. Please check your homeowner's insurance policy or ask your landlord regarding breed discrimination before submitting this application to adopt a pit bull type dog.
