My story

Oliver's Facebook Recovery Album . 1-15-2021: Oliver is doing great!! He is cage and house trained and he gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. We are not sure about cats. Heartworm slow kill has been the best idea for this active Pointer. November 2020: Oliver is a very thin young Pointer that was found as a stray in rural Indiana. No doubt he was dumped and left to fend for himself. He came in about 5-10lbs underweight but doing well now that he is in foster care. He is very sweet, affectionate, great with other dogs and likes to play with tennis balls. His cage training and house training is going well- but he does need some work on his manners- like counter surfing. Oliver is sadly positive for heartworms, but we have a great program that is easier on the dogs without any exercise restrictions. Pointers are the best dogs and for their safety we do require safe fenced in yards. I would like to line up a foster to adopt home for Oliver in the Chicago area that can help with his care.
