My story

**ADOPTERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO DRIVE TO CHICAGO, POSSIBLY MORE THAN ONCE-- if you live too far, please do not inquiry as animals will not be shipped** **This dog is vocal which is not a good fit for apartment type housing** This little ray of sunshine on this cold Chicago day is Sancho. He's a 2-year-old pomeranian mix who was surrendered to our center recently, when his person simply decided they just didn't want him anymore. His person rushed him inside, handed him off, and never said goodbye. It broke his little heart. And, seeing him in such despair has broken all our hearts too. We'd love for Sancho to get into a warm and loving forever home. Sancho loves attention, and can be sad when he isn't get any - so we'd like for his forever family to be able to spend the majority of the day with him. He does have anxiety, and can be vocal at times, so we are doubtful of a life for him with large dogs, cats, or small children, but he does seem to enjoy being around small dogs, so it'd be nice to get him a home where he could have a little dog friend. He's very smart, very affectionate, and very alert about his surroundings.
