My story

Paola A224095 Paola is a 1.5 year old spayed female who came into the shelter on 1/20 as a stray. Quite the opposite of what we saw in the lobby as she was being surrendered. What a nice surprise her sweet personality was! She walked nicely on the leash but was definitely owner searching outside. Paola allowed handling all over and found reassurance in our pets. She felt comfortable enough on her first day to climb up on the bench to sit briefly and lean her whole body in for affection. Paola sits on command and takes treats gently. She seems like she was someone’s dog before being found as a stray two months ago. We hope that if she had people looking for her they haven’t given up. It’s so important that strays get brought into the shelter so they have a chance to be found by owners.
