My story

Intro: Bradley was found as a stray injured. He has since healed from his injuries. He was originally with a rescuer in Mexicali and fostered with a few dogs. What we saw in the videos before we met him is that he enjoys a good game of tug a war and keep away. He is friendly to dogs of all sizes. We tested him with small and large dogs and he was social and happy. We also tested him with cats. One cat kept trying to take his treats and he was non-reactive. Bradley is food motivated but not food aggressive. That will make him easy to train. Strangers make him nervous. You give him a couple of treats and a scratch on his chest and he is your buddy. After a few treats he went on a walk with me and played tug a war with his leash. He also climbed in my lap for some pets. If you’re looking for a medium size Lab mix he may be the guy for you. Bradley is a very affectionate boy and still acts like a puppy. He is wildly excited each morning when he wakes up and sees us. He keeps all his toys with him on his bed, is house broken, takes treats gently, and sleeps quietly through the night. He likes to play tug of war and would like to play with the grumpy old cat. He loves laps, hugs and belly rubs. He does well at the dog park with both dogs and people. However on a leash he is afraid of new faces and will lunge and bark. He is also afraid of cars and bicyclists that go by. He will be meeting with a trainer next week to work on his social skills. Bradley is very smart and will catch on fast. He would like to be in a home with another dog to play with. He likes cats but all cats may not like him. Bradley is not aggressive he just lacks social skills. Bradley is a pocket Labrador and is a go-getter, active, and benefits from a consistent daily routine including exercise, training, feeding, and more training. He has an active mind and a high energy level. Bradley is very affectionate, he takes treats gently, and sleeps quietly through the night. He loves belly rubs and to cuddle. Bradley’s ideal home would provide him a large yard, daily exercise, and daily training routines. Bradley likes to chase and has a high prey drive. He is athletic and sporty; he enjoys retrieving the ball, playing frisbee, and playing tug-of-war. Bradley would enjoy the chance to have a doggie sibling to play and wrestle with. Foster Update- Bradley has graduated from an intensive 8-week boot camp focused on obedience and to learn how to cope with distractions (cars, bikes, loud trucks) that previously agitated him. The skills learned will need to be reinforced. Bradley is going to make some lucky family a very fun and loyal

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bradley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
