My story

Update: Vela is as sweet as the day is long. She loves to be next to your side as much as possible. She can go in and out of the dog door and up and down the stairs very well by now! She still has the random accident in the house, but is mostly potty trained. Born July 6, 2019 Vela is a female German Shepherd mix. Here is what her foster mom says about her: Vela is a brave little love who is not afraid to go up OR down stairs! She tends to stick closer to her person, but does love exploring the backyard. She has figured out how to go OUT the doggie door, but struggles with getting in. Vela is a girl after her beauty sleep and will sometimes put herself to bed in the crate that she shares with her sister. Vela does not like to pee or poop in the crate and will hold it until morning when she will use a potty pad, hitting the mark about 90% of the time. Applications for Vela can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Please note that adopters are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but full consideration is given to the best fit for the dog AND the adopter.
