My story

Meet SOPHIA! Sophia is such a sweetie and is just learning to come out of her shell. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs, and as you can see, enjoys frolicking in the grass! She tends to be a little shy with humans at first but once she gets to know you, she is shows interest by sitting by your side and playing with your loose shoelaces or clothing (haha!). We know she will fully come out of her shell soon and especially once she gets to your home, knows you, and has an established routine. She was recently rescued along with her other siblings Simon and Ricky so she is still getting used to her new surroundings! We would LOVE if Sophia were adopted by a person/family with another dog in the home as we think that will give her added confidence at first. As of late March, she is 3.5 months old and 13.4 lbs. Lab mix. Will you be her forever home? If you think you and Sophia will be a great fit, please apply! FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION, PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION. Applications receive priority; questions are secondary (although we try hard to answer all of them!). _______________________________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to New York. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy.
