FIV/FeLV negative, DOB: Feb. 9, 2016 Hello, I’m Boba! I’m a 5-year-old black cat with green eyes. If you’re looking for a sweet and cuddly cat to join you while you nap, then I might be the one for you! I was rescued with my newborn kittens from a hoarding situation after having who knows how many litters. I was a great mama cat (I even adopted more babies after their own mama rejected them) but I am very excited to start a new life with no responsibilities! I am very playful and my favourite toy is a soft ball that I carry around everywhere. My foster parents will sometimes throw it for me to chase and I have even gotten to be pretty good at playing fetch! When I want you to play with me I’ll pick up a toy in my mouth and meow meow meow. I want you to play with me a lot, so I do end up being quite the chatty cat-y! I love to climb and I can normally be found sleeping on tops of bookcases or on the highest shelf of the cat tree. I love to be petted and, while some cats will wake you up in the morning because they want food, I’ll bother you while you’re still in bed because I want head scratches! I wouldn’t consider myself a lap cat… but perhaps a couch potato is a good fit. I will gladly join you on the couch while you’re watching TV, especially if there’s a soft blanket I can make biscuits on. I’ll also hang out on the bed with you while you read. At my foster home there are three cats and a dog. The dog and I mostly ignore each other and happily co-exist, so if my new home has a pup then that shouldn’t be a problem. I get along really well with the other adult cats now, but it definitely took some time. If I am going to be adopted as a second (or third) cat, my new family will have to make sure to do proper introductions. Due to my time in a hoarding house, I’ve developed some habits that I am still trying to break. I always attempt to cover my food when I’m done eating and will try to bury it under blankets, towels, toys, paper…really anything lying around nearby. If my eating area is clear or my food is taken away when I’m done, then this isn’t an issue. I also try to scratch some furniture, but my foster parents have been able to help me with this by either covering the furniture with a sheet/towel or putting a sisal post right beside it for me to scratch instead. I am very good about getting my nails cut and I don’t have any problems the using the litter box. Please note that Boba is participating in Royal Canin's direct to customer food program. The adoption fee is $270.00 which includes a one-month supply of Royal Canin wet and dry food shipped to your door. 10% of every online purchase supports TCR in our lifesaving efforts, so we really appreciate you considering signing up for this optional program and helping us save more cats!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Boba, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
