Diesel

My story

Diesel is a two year old, twelve pound LBD - Little Black Dog. Little Black Dogs have a hard time being adopted only because they are black. Diesel has been tossed around in his short life and he needs a forever home in the right situation. He came to us with bad hair loss due to fleas. Well he's clean and flea free now. His coat has grown back and is shiny and thick. We don't know his heritage but our guess is that he is Basenji and something else. Maybe Chihuahua??? Diesel and Cassie are best buddies and are like-minded when it comes to play. They can be non-stop, all day, rough house wrestling and playing tag. They will each entertain themselves and you all day long then stop mid-afternoon for a nap. Diesel definitely needs a playmate. Diesel needs a bit of reassurance to build his confidence and build trust after being shuttled around. He answers when he's called and hasn't gotten into anything he shouldn't. He is very food motivated. He is now crate-trained and will go into his crate on his own for a nap. He needs continued monitoring on his housebreaking. He has always been sweet and playful with me but he absolutely adores my husband and wants to be near him anytime he's not playing with another foster pooch. His favorite thing is to curl up with him in the evenings on the ottoman. Diesel has been neutered, vaccinated, mcrochipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $300.00.
