My story

Camilla is ready to share her story! ❤ Guys...I don't know what to say here. I want to go into some elaborate story and maybe even throw in a life lesson...but I just don't have it in me. My owners could no longer keep me so they ended up surrendering me to this rescue. Nothing too crazy, nothing too heartbreaking(if you think about it in the sense that it happens every single darn day to hundreds of dogs). Any woof, now I am in a great foster home and I am on the search for my forever family! My name is Camilla and I am a 5-month-old, 52lb female Great Pyrenees. ____________________________________________________________________ While I am super excited to find my forever family, I do not want to rush into anything. I want you and I both to be sure that we are a match! To help with that, I had my fosters fill out this questionnaire about me. -How does your foster act when meeting new people? Friendly and excited. -Does your foster jump on people? Yes. -Has your foster been to any public settings? No. -Does your foster like going on walks? She likes being out. She has not been leash trained and is not a natural walker. -Do you think your foster would enjoy going on hikes? With training, sure, but for now she does not behave on a leash. -Is your foster leash trained? No. -How does your foster do on car rides? She is a little nervous and fidgity. -Describe your fosters energy level? Medium to high energy. She loves running around with her foster brother, but she also likes to snuggle on the couch! -Is your foster a big chewer? She chews toys, hooves, and bones, but we haven’t had issues with her chewing inappropriate things. -Does your foster like to play fetch? No. -Does your foster like to play in the water? I don’t know. -Does your foster play with Toys? Yes! She loves toys. -Do you think your foster would be okay with free-roam of the house even if you are away? Yes. -Does your foster have food aggression? No. Not at all. -Does your foster resource guard? No. -Is your foster good with other dogs? Yes. -How does your foster act around other dogs? Playful. -Does your foster need another dog in their new home? Probably not. -Is your foster good with cats? Unknown. -Is your foster good with kids? Yes - Girls ages 5 and 8 -Where does your foster stay when no one is home. Living room. -Is your foster potty trained? She’s 90% potty trained. We have had a few accidents, but they are few and far between. -Is your foster kennel trained? No. -Where does your foster sleep at night? In our bed or on the floor near the bed, or on the dog bed, or in the bathroom with her foster brother. -Would your foster dog do good in an apartment? She would probably be fine. -Is your foster a big barker? She barks at other dogs. -What would be your fosters ideal home? Camilla does great with her foster brother (PPFT Linus) and loves to chase and be chased, but she also loves just snuggling and being part of the human family. She loves kids and does great with my daughters (ages 5 and 8). She is a sweetheart and I could see her in a family with other dogs or in an “only dog” family. -Is there anything else you would like to mention about your foster dog? Camilla is such a cuddle bug. She loves laying on the couch with you and being snuggled. She is a little nervous at first, but she warms up quickly to people. She immediately took to her foster brother (PPFT Foster Linus) And the two are almost inseparable. Where Linus is not a big people dog, Camilla loves being around us and our kids. Camilla is definitely not trained, but I don’t see anything about her that makes me think she would not be trainable and a quick learner. I know she will be a great addition to someone’s family and whoever adopts her is in for more love than they will know what to do with! __________________________________________________________________ Now that you have heard from my foster, let us talk about the logistics of you getting to bring me home! ❤ -How can someone adopt me? The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not. -Where are you being fostered? I am being fostered in Norman, OK. -Would I need to come to pick you up? Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! 😉 -Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma? Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state! -How much is your adoption fee? My adoption fee is $275. That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Camilla, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
