My story

Well, I’m a lucky girl & I have 4 extra toe beans, one on each of my pretty white peets. It’s a slight mutation called polydactyl. I am also quite a beauty queen with soft silky medium length fur and gorgeous green eyes. I am a little small for my age and will probably grow up to be a smaller sized cat. I love belly rubs and pets, in fact, I’m a huge love bug that can’t get enough pets. I love head butting my foster mom to ask for more pets, and burying my head cradled in her arms. I also win the awards for most Wonky Whiskers! My name is Coal, I came to my foster mom with my brothers Ash & Smokey, from an apartment complex in Roseville. We were older kittens when we were scooped up and rescued off the street. My foster mom believes we belonged to a human before, and that we were possibly dumped there. We were friendly for stray kittens and adjusted quickly to living with people as inside kitties, and we’re great at using our litter box. We love treats and food and are complete suckers for our Churu treats. We’re all quite athletic and love to play with wand toys with our foster mom and are great little cuddlers. We are socialized and ready for adoption and are now looking for our forever families. Because we are older kittens you won't have any unpleasant surprises with personality issues like younger kittens may give you. We will need a little time to adjust to you, your home, your family and any other pets you might have, just like any other new pet would need. We are a little shy around loud noises and loud new people, but are really friendly with most of our cat friendly visitors, especially if they give us a treat! We would do best in a home with other pets, and introduced very slowly to any dogs in your family. We’re good with older kids and will be a fun addition to just about any cat friendly family. ADOPTION LOCATION: By Private appointment in Rocklin, CA area at Bark Avenue or foster home's backyard. -----ADOPTION PROCESS:------ APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. NTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
