My story

Meet Coby! She is a spayed female 6 1/2 yr old mixed breed that weighs 50lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 4/15. She does walk on a leash, although has a bit of a strong pull. She hopes her new family will enjoy spending time with her inside with them, cuddling close with a smile on her face. She does have a high energy level and does jump on you. That could be remedied by daily playtime, exercise, walks, and just creative interaction. She is crazy about toys and during the eval she was obsessed with choosing one toy after another and entertaining herself (and me!) with them. It was actually quite comical. It also made me sad to think that she spends so much time confined to her kennel and doesn’t get the opportunities she needs to work off some of that energy. Coby is friendly and welcomes a loving human touch.
