***URGENT*** Apollo currently resides at Berkeley Animal Care Services. Tall, dark, and handsome - that’s Apollo. But the stoic type? Not so much. Apollo has a bit of a goofy streak, regularly triggered by tennis balls in motion, standing pools of water, and humans brandishing tug toys. Simply put, this big boy adores people and is eager to explore, play, learn, or just hang out and be your buddy. Apollo walks beautifully on leash, though he can often be reactive to passing dogs. Staff and volunteers are working to help him become more mannerly and less vocal around his fellow canines. Not surprisingly, Apollo is a quick study and is hoping for a home where continued positive-reinforcement training will be part of the bonding experience. Indeed, this good-natured, intelligent pup is ready to provide love, laughs, and loyalty to anyone looking for companionship. However, Apollo has been having ongoing diarrhea and is exhibiting weight loss despite good appetite and supplements. Despite many tests and treatments, the shelter does not know what medical condition he may have and is running out of options for this sweet guy. The shelter is seeking an adopter who has access to additional resources to determine Apollo's medical condition so that this good boy can get back to health. He has been at the shelter for over 3 months with this undiagnosed condition, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit.
