My story

Are you looking for a majestic and loyal companion. Meet Ronan, a stunning 14 month old feathered Saluki/greyhound mix, who is a member of the Hound Group and is also known as a sighthound. Roney, as he is affectionately called by his foster, is a confident and happy boy that would do best as an only dog with a family that is active. He would make a peaceful hiking buddie and will happily trek with you on the trails embarking on new adventures. He’s a very curious boy and needs enrichment to be calm and happy. Ronan loves to run in the leash free park, is social and extremely gentle with children, and good with other dogs. The Saluki in general is an aloof dog, but one who's devoted to his family. They are gentle and have a tendency to bond with their families. Salukis are intelligent and learn quickly. They love to socialize and need to run full out a few times a week for their well-being, as walks in the neighborhood simply aren’t enough. A tired Saluki is a good Saluki. They are generally calm and peaceful souls who thrive on quiet companionship and tend to be quiet at home. Ronan is a bit of a puller on leash and his foster is walking him with a gentle leader which has proven to be a magical tool in helping him towards good walking behaviour. He loves chasing his favourite ball in the backyard and will kick it around and keep himself occupied by playing. Ronan is fully house trained. He loves to lounge in comfort on a dog bed with soft bedding and is a real love bug that will relish sitting by your side after a long day. Ronan thrives on human companionship and would make a great addition to any family. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate and devoted companion Ronan is the perfect dog! Preference will be given to families with dog experience where at least one family member is home all day. Kids must be over 10 years old. He is not good with cats. A fully fenced yard is a must.
