Carly is a medium-sized miss just waiting for the good things in life to happen to her. Adopted as a puppy, she`s made her way back to the shelter and would love to find a solid place to land. We do know that she was reported to be house-trained, she knows several commands, and she has lived with children. She`s a bouncy girl, working on her walking skills with the staff and volunteers every day. She goes to morning doggy playgroups, where she`s still sorting out how best to play with the other pups. Should you have a dog at home who needs a friend like Carly, our shelter staff will help introduce her to be sure everyone gets along, just like they do for all the other dogs here.Carly recently had a Dog Day Out adventure away from the shelter. Her host had the greatest things to say about their day, `I had the honor of going out with Carly. She is amazing and such a sweetheart towards people. She’s amazing in the car, especially with balancing herself so that she doesn’t topple over during sudden stops or turns. Carly LOVES people; she’ll even wake up for pets, she’s friendly towards all especially children. When out on walks, Carly has her fun chasing after birds or squirrels but doesn’t seem overly aggressive towards animals in general, just playful. She enjoys running and jumping around in parks and fields. Carly seems to be very well-mannered and knows when and where to relieve herself and overall understands social places. She sat and laid while my partner and I were finishing up some assignments. Even while we were occupied, she would cuddle and rub up on us while resting, which was adorable. Overall, Carly is such a sweet girl that carries amazing energy and friendliness. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their companion!`Carly is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in the shelter? They are oftentimes the dogs who stay in shelter care the longest and are chosen last. Break the stigma and adopt a black dog today. Remember, black dogs are the best dogs. Their hair doesn`t show up on black clothing and their coats don`t appear as dirty as they may be. Will you be the lucky owner of a black shelter dog?
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Carly, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
