My story

Meet Howie– Your New Snuggle Buddy with a Big Personality!Looking for a loyal companion with a goofy side and a heart full of love? Meet [Dog’s Name], a sweet, silly, and snuggly pup who`s ready to find his forever home! This handsome guy still has a bit of puppy mischief in him — he loves to chew (he’s getting better about sticking to toys!), can get a little mouthy when excited, and might sneak off with your slipper if you`re not paying attention. But give him a chew toy, a treat puzzle, or a snuffle mat, and he’s as happy as can be!Howie is crate trained and fully house-trained — not a single accident in the house! He’s a couch potato at heart who absolutely adores cuddling up with his humans after spending time outside. While he`s not overly energetic, he thrives on routine and enjoys being outside soaking up the fresh air (supervised, of course — he’s still learning not to chew on outdoor goodies!).He knows all his basic commands like sit, stay, leave it, down, and come, and he benefits from just 10 minutes of daily reminder training plus enrichment activities like treat puzzles, KONGs, and catch games to keep his brain happy. He does best as the only dog in the home — he`s a bit of a `rude` player and doesn’t quite understand polite play with other pups. That said, he’s cat-friendly and can coexist peacefully with feline friends as long as he`s given a gentle reminder now and then.Because he gets overly excited with fast-moving kiddos and might chase or tackle, Howie would do best in a home with older children or kids who understand how to be calm and respectful around dogs.In short: Howie is a lovable work-in-progress with a huge heart, a squishy cuddle side, and a desire to learn and love. If you’re ready to provide structure, supervision, and a whole lot of snuggles, he might just be your perfect match. If you would like to meet Howie, complete our online adoption questionnaire and a shelter team member will reach out to schedule an introduction. https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet.
