Broly is a big roly poly who first found himself at the shelter in mid 2022 after his family’s living arrangements changed. He lived with his former family his entire life. He did well with kids in his former home and was housebroken and crate trained. Broly may be big, but he’s also a sensitive kind of guy and needs to take things slow when meeting new people. In fact, slow and steady is kind of how he approaches life. If he wore clothes, he would wear a leisure suit- you know, since he does all things at his own leisurely pace. His walks are slow and mellow and he even seems to move in slow motion when he rolls around on his back for belly rubs. Life in the fast lane is just not a concept that our Broly boy is familiar with!During a stay in a foster home Broly was well- behaved, got along with a senior resident dog in the home, and was described as a great hugger. Here`s what volunteers have said about Broly:“Beautiful boy Broly may have a bit of a rough exterior but he is the epitome of don’t judge a book by its cover. He is the squishiest and softest marshmallow in a dog suit, if you ever did meet one! I knew him when he was previously at PACC and we never had the time to develop much of a bond. Well fast forward to now and he gives me kisses, play bows in a game of chase, and tolerantly lets me rub his face and neck with a wet towel when he rolls in something smelly and gross (one of his favorite activities). He greets me for walks, is easy to leash, and calmly walks down the aisle past all the barking dogs. He is just my very best Broly boy. I’m not sure he has had the easiest life so now he deserves to be treated like the king he is.”“It my first time walking Broly. He walked well with loose leash out in the park and was not reactive to people, dogs, or ducks while out. He didn’t seek affection but allowed scritches to head. I can easily see him becoming one of my favorites.”When meeting other dogs in playgroup, Broly was tolerant and mostly kept to himself. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Broly today!
