My story

Hiya! My name is Walter! I am a handsome lad around 2 years old and 70 pounds. To be honest, I was very scared when I first came to the shelter. It`s so loud and scary here, but I have really come out of my shell! Everyone here is so nice to me! I might take a few minutes to warm up, but that`s okay, I know you`ll love me once you meet me and give me a chance! I arrived to the shelter as a stray, so unfortunately not much is known about me, like if I get along with animals. I would do best in a calm home without young children, because I am still working on my confidence. The shelter does offer a Cuddle Before You Commit program to ensure I am the right fit for you! Please remember, slow and proper introductions are always best to set me up for success. **Please apply on our website at www.indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Go to the website, click on the adoption application link, enter the information and hit submit. Once you have submitted your application please visit the shelter to speak with a member of our adoption staff.
