My story

BONDED PAIR - Maple and Pancake. Maple is a very affectionate kitten; she loves kisses and being around her humans, especially at night time. She is also independent, active and playful. She will not beg for attention, but she will be ready when you need it. Loves toys, tunnels, balls, wand toys, fake mouse. She is amazing. At only five weeks old, this litter of six (Waffle, Syrup, Karo, Pancake, Biscuit, and Maple) was abandoned in 95-degree heat on a levee in southern Illinois. A good Samaritan found them, picked them up and cared for them until transport volunteers drove them up to PPAH in Chicago. These kittens have an estimated birth date of 5/12/2022. We prefer that Maple be adopted with her sibling Pancake as they play, snuggle and spend so much time together. Maple definitely needs Pancake to be her purrfect partner in crime. Maple gets along with other cats and kittens. She has not been exposed to dogs, but we think these siblings would be fine with a proper introduction. All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.
