Hiru

My story

Hiru is a 1.5-year-old male Shiba Inu> He was abandoned in an apartment before someone found him and contacted DC SIR. Since coming into rescue, Hiru has thrived! He loves people but can be skittish and run when there are new people around. Hiru loves to run outdoors in the yard, but he may be hard to bring back in unless you have a delicious treat. Hiru does walk well on a leash and enjoys exploring new places. Hiru has healed quickly from his neuter. He is now up to date on vaccines and has a negative test for heartworm and other tick-borne diseases. While Hiru is great with other dogs, he can be a bit much (playing in their face) for calmer older dogs. We think he would do great in a variety of homes with an active family that loves to include him in their family adventures.
