My story

If you'd like to meet Emily, please read her full profile. Once you've done that and would like to move forward, we ask that you then visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com Emily has one of those stories that leaves you shaking your head and wondering how people can be so uncaring. Emily was brought in to the vet and her owners decided that her life needed to end because they didn't want to take the time to treat her for a urinary tract infection. Yes, you read that right - it was asked that she be euthanized because of something as simple as a UTI. Thankfully she was brought into one of our trusted veterinary partners and they convinced the owners to relinquish ownership rather than euthanize. We were contacted and of course we said "yes" - we couldn't even think to say "no" - that word just isn't in our vocabulary when it comes to the welfare of an animal in need. Emily is a senior gal with a birthdate of 11/16/2012. She is thin and small. She is also very sweet and trusting. While she is understandably a bit shy and cautious in her new surroundings, she is gentle and accepting of affection from us. She enjoys wet treats and has been doing great with a dietary supplement to put a little weight on. She is a fabulous senior gal and we just know her forever person or family is out there right now looking for her. Are you the one? Emily does fine with other cats but dogs are an unknown. She's gentle enough to be with young children, but we think children who are old enough to be gentle in return is what would be right for her in that regard. Her ideal setting would be in a quiet home where she could just relax by her person, lay idly in the sunshine, or perhaps perch near a window to watch what nature has to offer her. She's such a little love and she deserves far more than what her previous owners were ready to hand out to her. Do you have it in your heart to give this sweet senior a home? Why not come in and meet her and see what you think - we're pretty sure you'll see exactly what we do - an amazing petite lady with lots of love to give.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Emily, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
