My story

Barsik is a sweet chocolate tabby boy, with the cutest “me-ow” that will make your heart smile! We rescued Barsik when his owners moved and abandoned him in the hallway of their apartment. They told an elderly neighbor that they would be back for him, but days turned to weeks, and then into months …and his family never came back for him. When we brought Barsik back to the shelter, he was depressed and quiet. Who could blame him? With lots of love and attention from volunteers, Barsik is coming out of his shell! He talks and purrs when you stroke his beautiful fur and he’s starting to enjoy playing with crinkly balls and toy wands.
